In spite of all the misery mankind bring about, I can still see how beautiful and miraculous the world is. This is the idea I seek to carry out upon canvas. While painting, many emotions are stirred. They often are an unbearable burden weighing down the process (a blank canvas can be both very frightening and challenging) but I have to wade through this struggle. Heart and hands force me to continue.
Style:
I have endeavored to work in one style but in vain, that does not work for me. I am too versatile. Maybe this is a disadvantage in a world of specialism. To me it is meaningful. My work is characterized by two styles: abstract and magical-realistic
Inspiration:
Magical – realistic paintings: these are inspired by my dreams as well as by true stories. Some dreams date from many years ago but still linger on my memory.
Abstract paintings: these are inspired by details taken from nature but also by paintings created earlier in my life.
Material:
Acrylic resin, oil colour, gold foil, minerals, sand, stones and tree bark on canvas.
